Chapter One

Our story

We first met in November 2023, where we were placed on the same team at the KXC quiz. Morgan smashed every question on Taylor Swift, and Tom instantly knew how many Wetherspoons there are in Zone 1. A few months later we had our first date - a long walk in Hampstead Heath, where we talked about everything under the sun. We've had so many adventures together the last few years, and we're really excited to start the adventure of marriage. We're so grateful to have you all in our lives, and we would be honoured if you'd share this special day with us!

Getting to us

Travel & staying

Somerton is a small market town in south Somerset, about two and a half hours west of London, where Tom grew up. It's important to be aware that you'll need to plan accommodation and that the reception is a 30-minute drive from the church. If you are driving, please highlight in the RSVP if you know you'll have space in your car and would be willing to help with lifts. If you need a space, we'll try to assign you one.

Getting here

  • By trainLondon Paddington → Castle Cary (2h 10m direct on GWR), or London Waterloo → Yeovil Junction (2h 30m on SWR). Taxi or 15-min lift from either station to Somerton.
  • By carM3 → A303 → A372. Parking at the church and reception; please carpool where you can.
  • AirportsBristol (45 min), Exeter (1h), London Heathrow (2h 30m).
  • TaxisYeovil Radio Cabs · 01935 426666 (recommended). Castle Cary is the closer station in the morning and has its own local taxi firms — handy if you're arriving by train. There's also parking at the Brunel car park in Castle Cary if you're driving to/from the station. For the evening home, book a Yeovil firm — they're closer to the reception and quicker to call out.

Where to stay

A couple of suggestions — Somerton and the surrounding villages are quiet and pretty, so it's worth booking ahead. The venue has a list of recommended places to stay here.

Airbnb & cottages nearby

Recommended

The easiest route is Airbnb — there are plenty of cottages, barns and farmhouses around Somerton, Martock and South Petherton.

Hotels in Yeovil

6 min drive

If a hotel suits you better, Yeovil is just six minutes by car from the reception and has plenty of options across price ranges — Premier Inn, The Manor Hotel, Yeovil Court Hotel and a handful more.

Glamping & camping at the farm

On site

For the full festival experience, there's a field next to Cott Farm with both bell-tent glamping and pitches for your own tent. Glamping is organised through the venue and spots are limited — let us know in the RSVP if you're interested and we'll be in touch with prices once we've gathered numbers. Camping with your own tent is free, so feel free to bring one along.

Things to do

If you're making a weekend of it: walk up Glastonbury Tor (25 min), wander the gardens at Hestercombe, take the steam railway from Bishops Lydeard, or linger over a long lunch at The Pilgrims at Lovington. Somerset is pretty kind to a slow weekend.

A small note

On gifts

Your presence at the wedding is the only gift we could ask for — truly. If, however, you would like to mark the day with something a little more, we've put together a small registry for honeymoon travels and our new flat.

Gentle answers

Dress code is garden formal — think summer suits, long dresses, jumpsuits. But most importantly, wear whatever you feel best in! The bridal party will be wearing light blue, if that helps with your planning.
We love your kids — truly — but we've decided to keep the day as an adults-only celebration, save for our immediate family's little ones. We hope this gives you an excuse for a night off. Do let us know if this causes any difficulty and we'll help where we can.
There are around thirty spaces at the church and further parking a two-minute walk away on West Street. The reception venue also has plenty of parking.
There's a dedicated field on the RSVP form for dietary requirements, allergies and intolerances. As long as you let us know, we can make sure this is catered for.
We'd love for you to be fully present during the service, so we're asking guests to keep phones and cameras tucked away during the ceremony itself. Our photographer will capture everything, and we'll share the album with you. Photos afterwards — very much encouraged.
Please aim to be at the church by 12:00pm, and seated by 12:15pm.
Yeovil Radio Cabs (01935 426666) is our recommendation, especially for the evening journey home. If you're coming in by train in the morning, Castle Cary station is closer to the church and has local taxi firms of its own; the Brunel car park there is a handy parking option too. We strongly recommend booking your evening taxi in advance — Saturday nights get busy.
Yes — the ceremony is inside the church. Welcome drinks and garden games at the reception will be outdoors — but there will be a plan B if the weather is not on our side.
